Istanbul Airport (IST) is one very large terminal, and after a long flight the walk to passport control and the queue that follows can feel like the hardest part of the trip. That is why fast track and VIP arrival services are among the things travellers ask about most when planning their arrival. The trouble is that the same words are used for quite different services, sold by different people at very different prices.
This guide explains what each service is, what the airport operator itself sells (as of October 2026), who else sells it, and when it is worth the money. We do not sell fast track ourselves, so we have no reason to oversell it.
Fast track, meet & assist, meet & greet: the difference
| Service | Where it starts | What you get | Who sells it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fast-track lane | Just before passport control | A priority lane through passport control. You walk the rest on your own. | The airport operator (iGA), some airlines for premium passengers, resellers |
| Meet & assist (airside) | Inside the terminal, after you leave the aircraft | A personal agent with a name sign who accompanies you, helps with bags and uses the fast-track lane | The airport operator (iGA Meet & Greet), travel agencies and resellers |
| Meet & greet transfer | The arrivals hall, after customs | A driver with your name on a sign who takes you to your car and into the city | Transfer companies, including us |
If someone offers you a meet & greet, ask where exactly they meet you. A driver in the arrivals hall is very helpful, but cannot shorten the passport queue; that requires a service that starts inside the terminal before passport control.
iGA Fast Track at arrivals
Istanbul Airport's operator, iGA, sells its premium services under the iGA Pass name. According to its official website, as of October 2026:
- Where: for arriving passengers, fast track is available before passport control at points C1 and E1 on the international arrivals floor. Passengers connecting from an international to a domestic flight use point E2.
- How to buy: pay by credit card at the fast-track service point, and use it straight away. A purchase at the service point is valid for one use.
- Included free for: holders of iGA Pass daily or annual packages, iGA Meet & Greet customers, and passengers of partner airlines or institutions. Ask your airline whether your ticket or status qualifies before you pay.
- Children: the booking form lists babies aged 0–6 as free.
Price: the online booking form on igapass.com showed €26.67 plus VAT for its default selection (an international departure) when we checked in October 2026. The site does not list a separate online price for arrivals, which are paid at the service point, so confirm the amount there. Prices can change, so treat this as a guide only.
Fast track speeds up passport control only. You still collect your bags at the same carousel and walk through customs like everyone else. If your nationality needs a visa, you must have it before you reach the desk; see our Türkiye e-visa guide.
iGA Meet & Greet (meet & assist)
This is the airport's full arrival assistance service. iGA describes it like this:
- A personal agent greets you with a name sign when you enter the terminal. For arrivals, iGA tracks your flight using the date and flight number you give when booking.
- Personal assistants collect your luggage, and the service can include fast track, lounge access and a private buggy, depending on the service type you buy.
- Payment must be made at least 24 hours before the flight; for shorter notice, iGA asks you to contact it first to check availability. Bookings are made on igapass.com or by email to reservation@igapass.com.
- Changes and cancellations must be sent in writing more than 24 hours before the flight. There is no refund within the last 24 hours.
- Passengers aged 65 and over get a 35% discount at iGA's service sales points. Flowers cost extra.
Price: the booking form showed €207.50 plus VAT for its default selection when we checked in October 2026. The final price depends on the service type (arrival, departure or transfer), whether the flight is domestic or international, and the number of passengers, so check the total for your own booking. The page does not say whether the greeter walks you to your car, so if a driver is meeting you, tell both sides where the handover will be.
Through passport control quickly? Your driver will already be waiting in arrivals.
Other ways to get fast track
Your airline. Some airlines include priority passport control for premium cabins or frequent-flyer status at their hub. Turkish Airlines, for example, lists priority at passport control in Istanbul among the benefits of some Miles&Smiles status levels, and iGA says passengers of partner airlines may use its fast track at no extra cost. Check with your airline what applies to your ticket on arrival; it may already be included.
Travel agencies and resellers. Many websites sell Istanbul Airport fast track or VIP arrival packages, often with a porter, lounge or car added. Prices we saw on reseller sites in October 2026 varied widely and were often many times the price of the plain fast-track lane, depending on what was bundled. Before you buy, ask:
- Is the price per person or per booking, and does it include VAT?
- Where exactly does the agent meet me: at the aircraft door, at the gate area, or before passport control?
- Who delivers the service inside the terminal: the reseller's own staff or the airport's iGA service?
- Is baggage help and an escort through customs included, and where do they hand me over to my driver?
- What happens if my flight is delayed, diverted or cancelled, and what is the refund policy?
Fast track at Sabiha Gökçen (SAW)
At Sabiha Gökçen, fast track is sold under the ALLWAYS name. Pegasus Airlines' website says that on arrival, ALLWAYS Fast Track can be used only at the international arrivals passport control checkpoint, and that Pegasus includes it in selected fare packages on certain routes. If you are flying with another airline, check the airport's own service points or your airline. Our Sabiha Gökçen airport guide covers the rest of the terminal.
Is fast track worth it?
Neither airport publishes live queue times, so nobody can promise how long you will save. It depends mainly on how many flights land at the same time. Some honest rules of thumb:
- Worth considering: if you are travelling with small children or older relatives, have limited mobility, have a meeting or event soon after landing, or know you are arriving in a busy morning or evening wave of long-haul flights.
- Full meet & assist makes most sense: when you want someone to handle the whole walk, the bags and the queue, for example for elderly parents, a VIP guest or a nervous first-time traveller. Remember the 35% discount for travellers aged 65 and over at iGA's sales points.
- Probably not worth it: if you are arriving at a quiet time, travelling light and in no hurry. When you reach passport control, look at the queue before deciding; you can buy the plain fast-track lane at the service point.

After fast track: getting into the city
Whatever you choose inside the terminal, you still need a way into the city once you come out of customs. With Istanbul VIP, your driver waits inside the international arrivals hall, right after customs at the exit of the baggage area, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight, so whether you are through in fifteen minutes or an hour, the driver is already there and waiting time is free. Details and a map are in our meeting point guide.
The price is fixed and per vehicle: for example $70 from IST to Sultanahmet and $65 to Galata or Taksim in a Private Mercedes Vito, or $80 / $75 in a VIP Mercedes Vito with leather captain seats. Tolls, parking and fuel are included, the Vito takes up to 6 passengers and up to 12 suitcases, and you pay the driver on arrival in cash (EUR, USD or TRY). Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. Istanbul VIP is operated by Regatta Turizm (TÜRSAB licence 10138).
